Titan celebrates a total of $52,424 donated this season for GivingTuesday

DES MOINES, Iowa, November 28, 2023 — In recognition of GivingTuesday, Titan International Inc. (Titan) is celebrating the ways in which its employees have given back this season. Whether donating manpower, time, talents or funds, Titan continues to make an impact on the lives of those in need.

Ride to a Cure 2023

Titan hosted its annual Ride to a Cure Car Show on October 21, featuring a garden tractor pull and hay rack rides, as well as a silent auction, multiple food vendors, bounce houses, face painting and more.

Titan Ride for a Cure Event

This year’s event had its biggest turnout yet, with nearly 180 cars entered in the show. In lieu of an entry fee, participants were encouraged to give a freewill donation. Titan matched event donations, raising a remarkable $42,424 to support the John Stoddard Cancer Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Since the inception of this event, Titan has donated more than $100,000 to support the fight against breast cancer. Notably, Titan previously manufactured pink tractor tires to raise breast cancer awareness in 2019.

“We are very proud of our longstanding efforts to raise awareness and funds to fight breast cancer, and our partnership with John Stoddard Cancer Center,” said Nick Jensen, Area Manager at Titan. “We like to say the Ride to a Cure event is where horsepower meets hope – it’s a topic that means a lot to all of us, and we want to help drive the support needed to fight breast cancer right here in our community.”

Mobile Hunger Fight

On Wednesday, November 15, Titan leveraged its manufacturing facility to package 40,000 meals for the community. Partnering with Meals from the Heartland, nearly 60 Titan volunteers worked in two packing shifts to host a Mobile Hunger Fight. The amount packaged will feed 176 children for one year.

“We believe in the power of community and the impact we can make when we come together,” said Lester Brewer, VP of NA Tire at Titan. “The Mobile Hunger Fight allowed us to utilize our manufacturing facility and the dedication of our employees to make a tangible difference in the lives of those facing food insecurity.”

In addition to the 40,000 meals, Titan donated an extra $10,000 to the cause. This covers the cost of ingredients, packaging materials and meal distribution, as well as supports the infrastructure needed to fight hunger worldwide.

Titan is proud to celebrate GivingTuesday by highlighting the remarkable efforts of its employees in giving back to the community. With more than $50,000 in donations and 40,000 meals packaged this quarter alone, Titan remains committed to its mission of building stronger communities where their employees call home.
