Ag Specialist

Job Description

The team of Ag Specialists work in field with distributors and end-users in the Agricultural and Light Construction segments to ensure optimum product performance.  They will work with the product development and strategy teams to support new product launches, assist with implementing testing plans for new product designs and engage with end-user customers regarding product satisfaction.  Customer engagement efforts with dealers and the Titan sales team will help support and drive sales.  Uses independent judgment and exercises discretion in executing their duties.  This position requires a high degree of confidentiality.

Essential Functions

  1. Work with customers in the Agricultural and Light Construction markets to promote Titan products and programs including updates on product performance, new products and new applications.
  2. Conduct customer visits to ensure optimal product performance with machine set up evaluations.
  3. Perform on field inspection of new and existing R&D test plan tires and sites.  Create reports to be submitted to the Product Manager and R&D.
  4. Build strong relationships with tire and equipment dealers to drive sales opportunities of all Titan/Goodyear products.  
  5. Communicate with Product Manager, the Sales Team, and the Marketing Team in efforts to promote Titan products through trade shows, customer testimonials, and the internal educational resources (Titan University). 
  6. Organize and provide promotional, print and technical material to the customer and demonstrate effective presentation and selling skills.
  7. Develop a customer network of equipment dealers and end users through referrals and telephone canvassing in the Agricultural and Light Construction markets. 
  8. Perform hands on tasks including machine adjustments that assist customers in prospering and maximizing their return with Titan products.
  9. Submit weekly activity/call reports, including customer related activities, customer perceptions, issues uncovered, and opportunities found among others.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience/Skills:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture/Business or related field preferred and/or equivalent combination of education, experience and previous training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
  2. Strong communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, ability to prioritize projects, personable, well organized with strong time management skills.
  3. Ability to utilize Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint as well as cloud-based platforms.
  4. Ability to listen attentively and assess customer needs.
  5. Excellent reasoning and analytical skills.
  6. General knowledge of Agricultural and Light Construction equipment. 
  7. Ability to communicate with customers, management, and co-workers, both individually and in front of a group.

Licenses or Certification (Required/Preferred):

Must have a valid driver’s license with a respectable driving record.

Travel:

This position requires heavy travel and the ability to manage a flexible schedule.  Evening and occasional weekend travel may be required.

 

Work Environment:

A large portion of the environment for this position is outside and may include high and low temperatures.  Some periods of time will be indoors in an office setting.

 

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift and move around up to 75 pounds.
